The Town of Carbondale Utilities Department operates and maintains the raw water irrigation ditches. The water ditches operate from approximately April 15th to October 15th each year. Throughout the season, debris can obstruct the flow of the water and cause issues. If unwarranted obstruction is observed in a ditch leg, the Water Department welcomes assistance from residents with the removal of debris to keep them flowing.
The Town has water rights in the following ditches:
- Carbondale (Town Ditch)
- Weaver & Leonard Ditch
- Bowels & Holland Ditch
- Lowline Ditch
- Rockford Ditch
- Ella Ditch

Please describe the problem and the location so the Town's Ditch Rider can address the issue. Due to the high volume of calls during the summer months, staff may not return the call if the issue is able to be resolved.
