The Water Department is responsible for providing safe drinking water to the Town of Carbondale residents in accordance with Colorado State and Federal regulations.
The Department operates three water treatment facilities, approximately 28 miles of underground water main pipeline, two storage reservoirs, and a pumping station, which provide drinking water and fire protection.
The raw water ditch system is also operated by the Water Department to provide untreated irrigation water to the historical ditch system.
