How to Avoid Frozen Water Lines
If your water service line has frozen in the past, turn one faucet on with a pencil-thin stream of water to prevent frozen pipes. The Water Department suggests doing this anytime the temperature is forecast to be below 20 degrees Fahrenheit for extended periods.
A billing adjustment will be applied to your water bill to compensate for this extra water usage at the end of the winter months.
Please contact the Utility Department if you have taken this action so an adjustment can be applied to your account.
