Police Officer I and II
The Town of Carbondale Police Department is accepting applications for the position of
Police Officer I and II.
Police Officer I Summary (Starting salary $69,483 - $87,436):
This is an entry level sworn position responsible to provide public safety and enhancement of the quality of life in our community through partnerships, advocation, prevention and enforcement. Supervision will be through department supervisory personnel through the chain of command, generally through Patrol Sergeant or other personnel responsible for a patrol shift.
Qualifications: REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Must be 21 years or older, a high school graduate or equivalent, with Colorado Peace Officer Standards and training certification as a Peace Officer. A list of sex offenders registered in the Town of Carbondale can be obtained by going to the Carbondale Police Department. For sex offenders registered in the State of Colorado, who meet the guidelines of Colorado Revised Statute 16-22-112, can access this information at the Colorado Convicted Sex Offender website.
*The use of sex offender registry to harass, endanger, intimidate, threaten or in any way seek retribution on an offender through illegal means is prohibited. Any person(s) committing such acts can be criminally charged.
