Mission & Responsibilities

The mission of the Town Clerk for Carbondale is to contribute to the effective operation of local government. Responsibilities include maintaining precise records of town meetings, managing official documents, supervising elections, and offering support to town officials and the public. The Town Clerk's role is vital in promoting transparency, ensuring legal compliance, and facilitating the seamless flow of administrative processes. The Town Clerk’s Office is also responsible for liquor, tobacco, marijuana, and short-term rental licenses, as well as cemetery records.
